About us
We are a locally owned diagnostic laboratory facility. We primarily service the Food, Poultry and Feed Industries, covering New Zealand and the South Pacific regions. Our mission is to provide quality laboratory, diagnostic and technical services to our customers
Our Story
With a proud history dating back to 1981, PVS was initially founded by Dr Brian Jones to serve the rapidly gowning poultry industry. As an active industry participant in the industries we serve, PVS has been a key contributor in helping ensure NZ maintains its world leading animal health status. Additionally, we are at the forefront of R&D in food safety, often bridging the gap between regulators and industry to ensure accurate and workable technical outcomes.
In 2019, PVS built a new, world class, lab facility that includes advanced PCR technology and encompasses an inhouse R&D program. Our new facility has allowed us to concentrate on efficiency improvements to align with our customers’ requirements. This combined with our international technical links and experienced team, PVS is ready to provide excellence to a wide range of customers.
